You all kept me really busy the last couple weeks, keeping track of sales and sending digital downloads.  The response and feedback has been overwhelming.  As those of you who ordered the album know, this experience has been a musical departure for me.  I really worked to emotionally dig deeper.  I appreciate all the kind words.  Although the pre-sale period is over, the album (and a deluxe version) will be released April 3rd so keep an eye out for it.

The 2 disk set includes DVD as well as iPod versions so you’re good to go wherever you are.

New Website!

OK, I crashed my site a couple weeks ago like an idiot.  But there’s good news.  I re-built the website and it’s amazing! On A Less Exciting Note…

As most of you know, in addition to music I also run a non-profit that helps feed as well as find housing and employment for the homeless.  As a result, the Fall is always a busy time for me.  Saturday, November 19th marks the Help the Homeless Walkathon in DC, our biggest fundraiser of the year.  If you are interested in walking or making a donation it would be greatly appreciated.  More information at www.charliesplacedc.org

HBO Knows I Rock

For the past couple weeks people kept telling me that they heard my song on HBO.  I had no idea what they were talking about.  So as my mother taught me, I smiled, nodded and said “thank you.”  Well eventually Mike Ofca emailed me with the same message!  If you didn’t know, Mike produced Back To Love and Turn It Around so he definitely wasn’t playing tricks on me.  Here’s the scoop.  HBO is airing a documentary about puppy mills called Madonna of the Mills.  At one point my song Tumblin’ Down the Mountainside airs for a good 45 seconds.  Pretty awesome!  If you have HBO check it out.

New Video To Release October 24

Thanks to the awesome folks at District Lights, the new video is looking amazing!  This is, without a doubt, the most fun thing I have ever released.  There is singing, dancing and colors galore.  I’m really pumped to show the final product to you all.  If you live in the DC metro area we’ll be having a pre-release party, screening and show October 21st and 22nd. Get your tickets in advance, this is going to be a party!

Kansas City And The Deep South

You all know how much I’ve been traveling this year.  Last weekend was my first weekend to relax in town since Feb.  So, what I should be writing is that I’m going to stay home and relax with my husband…  That’s not the case.  I’ll be taking a couple weeks to record and relax and then I’ll be back on the road.  I’ll be in Kansas City on November 5th and then heading down through the South to Florida in December to get away from the winter.  I’m currently booking dates in the South so if there’s something cool going on in your town, let me know!

I want to start by thanking everyone for your continual support over the years.  This Spring’s tour has been by far the most rewarding tour to date.  I’m beginning to wonder why I don’t live in my Subaru year round.

The New Album

On The Road

I’ve been on the road for 7 weeks, visited 35 cities and notched over 13,000 miles driving.  As always it’s been a lot of fun.  I feel very lucky to be able to spend so much time on the road, plus I get to see you.  That makes me happy.  I’ve got a bunch more gigs (see the below schedule) before I get home, mostly in the South, if you have friends send them out to the show!

The Spring Tour

I’ve been on the road for a couple weeks and as usual I’m in the midst of criss-crossing the country.  I’m actually back home in Kenosha, WI right now, enjoying the lake and family before shoving off to Minneapolis tomorrow.  I’m headed West from there and will be on the West coast by the end of the month before doubling back to DC via the south (AZ, TX, FL etc…).  You can find all of my tour dates at the bottom of this e-mail or at www.tomgossmusic.com.  Tell your friends and I hope to see you in person soon!

I was up in Philly this weekend performing for the first time in months.  It was great to rock some new songs and knock the dust off.  I’m even more pumped to be having my DC releases this week!
